Softhouse Balkans is one of three finalists for the prize of sustainable development of the UN!

We are very happy that Softhouse Balkans is one of three finalists for the prize for sustainable development according to UN’s (United Nations) standard and within the framework of Sustainable Goal Development. The prize is directly linked to UN’s strategic goals in order to achieve progress in sustainable development in the world until 2030.

The UN Development Program (UNDP) is established in 170 countries to abolish poverty, reduce inequalities, promote peaceful societies and support the country’s reach of the global goals by 2030. The price of the SDG Pioneer Award is already being distributed in various parts of the world, but has this year for the first time come to Bosnia, and we are nominated in the area “People” and “Small Businesses” and is one of three finalists! The winner will be selected on June 12th and we are incredibly happy for being selected as the top three. Just being nominated feels like a good proof of concept linked to hard work and a good workplace.

The prize will be awarded during SDG Business Week and the theme for the week revolves around the main areas Planet 2030, Business 2030 and Jobs 2030. As a part of that week, Softhouse Balkans organizes its first Super Leaders Tribe where the focus will be People 2030. We will talk about leadership and employeeship and how we must work now and in the future in order to meet the sustainable goals by 2030.

“The global goals are the most ambitious for sustainable development that the world’s countries have ever adopted, and therefore it needs focus.”

The global goals exists to achieve four specific goals by 2030. They are; to abolish extreme poverty, reduce inequalities and inequalities in the world, to promote peace and justice and to resolve the climate crisis.

The work that is highlighted by positioning us in top three and the work that Softhouse Balkans is part contributes to continuously working for excellent leadership that extends throughout the Softhouse culture. Softhouse Balkans has come further with the sustainable work, but there are several ongoing initiatives and plans that we work with continuously within other parts of our organization. The work on how we can work with leadership and employeeship is something that we prioritize and try to prioritize. Our sustainability work is, as for many, a challenging issue in our industry and something that we always strive to improve within.
