Ted Christensson will lead the new start for the consulting and software company Softhouse in Jönköping. After two years in the city, the company will now take the next step and challenge.
– We will grow in the number of employees and create a really strong team. It will be a very exciting journey, says Ted, who has been office manager since the turn of the year.
The tech industry is going for high pressure and the need for smart, digital solutions is greater than ever. This means that Softhouse continues to invest and now employs an office manager in Jönköping, where they have worked for just over two years. Ted Christensson steps into the role.
– It feels like I have found home. It is in this industry that I can contribute the most. There are many companies in the tech sector here in Jönköping, which also means that there are plenty of talented developers, he says.
– Both here and in surrounding cities there are a number of large industries and all come in one way or another in contact with the type of software that we are experts in.
Ted sees it as an exciting opportunity to lead the investment in Jönköping.
– It is an inspiring challenge. Softhouse is an attractive employer with high ceilings and has very good values. There is a great view of how you look at customers, that you always work with those where Softhouse can add value and that even the employees enjoy working with, says Ted and continues:
– The first sub-goal is for us to grow out of our premises on Västra Storgatan. Preferably already in the summer. By the end of next year, we will have doubled our staff – at least.
He most recently came from a position as consulting manager at Adecco. Before that, he chose to, with a computer engineering degree from Jönköping University in the back, to enlist in the Armed Forces. After 18 months of training and readiness, the trip went to FS16 in Afghanistan, where he stayed for six months.
– A very educational time. I gained invaluable experience and developed on several different levels. Above all, it has made me extremely stress-resistant and good at dealing with different types of people, says Ted.
What will be your focus the first time?
– To find new employees who want to be part of an exciting journey. The goal is for us to have twelve employees in Jönköping in one year.
And with Ted Christensson on duty, a big piece of the puzzle is in place for Softhouse. Something that CEO Anna Bäcklin is very pleased with.
– When we establish ourselves, it is important for us to bring in a person with good local knowledge. Ted has what we are looking for, partly with his engineering education, partly with his background as a consulting manager. I believe that Ted will be able to contribute in several ways and above all put Softhouse on the map in Jönköping, says Anna Bäcklin, CEO of Softhouse. ´
