Is it not exciting how our experiences affect us differently and how we bring different experiences into new challenges? These experiences and differences can give excellent results when we work together.

I grew up in Sankt Sigfrid, between Nybro and Kalmar, where my parents ran a family business where I was highly involved. When I was younger, I was involved in the company by helping out in the office and the workshop. Later, I helped with programming control systems and identifying potential customers, which has probably affected me more than I think. We often worked together as a team, and we often discussed expansion plans at the dinner table, both technical and financial. Perhaps this experience and way of life made me dive deeper into these subjects as a doctoral student in industrial economics – and later run the Softhouse establishment in Kalmar.

We are a bunch of team players

Since 2021, I have been responsible for the establishment in Kalmar. It is an exciting and rewarding assignment as Kalmar is an exciting region with good opportunities for expansion for a company like Softhouse. It is an industry at full speed and high demand for our services. Continuously working on competence development is essential in times like this – and it is something Softhouse is good at. Since I started working at Softhouse, I have been part of a leadership program for competence development based on my knowledge in various areas linked to my role.

I think the Softhouse-feeling I am talking about above is based on the solid and positive corporate culture that exists in the company. It is an important – if not the most important – piece of the puzzle in the journey we have made and the journey we have ahead of us where growth comes a little by itself; if we feel good, help each other, and think it’s fun to work together. That we with different cutting-edge competencies can learn from each other and grow together is a favor. “We code the future” – together!
