Softhouse is proud to have a high proportion of female leaders and is aware of the importance of raising interest in IT and technology for women. As a way to visualise gender-equality work, Softhouse has chosen to support equal sport and is a proud partner of the Baltic Cup: Sweden’s largest floorball cup for ladies. During the last weekend in August, Softhouse was on site in Karlskrona at the big floorball party and many visitors took the opportunity to share their creative proposal for a new mobile service.
Many participants are facing their choice of high school or thinking about possible career paths making a difference. Software companies like Softhouse can inspire people to choose a technical path and work on developing tomorrow’s sustainable society in an equal and committed environment.
Equality is one of our priority goals. For us, it is so much fun to show women of all ages there are great opportunities to benefit society in our digitalisation projects, says Vernisa Rejhan, Talent and Performance Manager at Softhouse.
At Baltic Cup, visitors were welcome to submit creative suggestions for mobile phone services. And the need for new services seems endless: from practical functions such as recalling SMS, battery charging via swish, and being able to have 3D video calls to teleportation.
It was great fun talking about future technical solutions with the contestants. We received many creative suggestions for what the next technical finesse could be, and shortly we will share who won, says Anna Brunell, consultant manager, and project manager at Softhouse Karlskrona.
The cup was attended by 24 teams from all over the Nordics during four days of matches at an elite level for ladies, ladies, juniors, and for girls 16.
