Softhouse continues its expansion in southern Sweden and appoints Stina Åkesson as the new CEO of the operations in Malmö. With a solid background in digitalization, business development and leadership, she now steps in to strengthen the company’s presence in the dynamic Öresund region. With the ambition to develop new customer collaborations, long-term partnerships and drive digital transformation – all to write the next chapter in the company’s growth journey in the Öresund region.
Stina Åkesson has solid experience in leadership and business development, including as CEO of AF-borgen in Lund, where she drove the business forward and developed one of the city’s most prestigious meeting places. She also has a solid history within Softhouse, Stina worked at the company between 2003 and 2009 – an experience that gives her a good understanding of the company’s culture and business. Her expertise in digital platforms and sustainability-focused solutions makes her well-suited to energetically lead Softhouse in Malmö.
– We are very pleased to welcome Stina to the role of CEO of Softhouse in Malmö. Her extensive experience and ability to drive development are exactly what we need as we now want to take the next step in establishing new customer collaborations and partnerships in the Öresund region, says Sara Mårtensson, CEO of Softhouse.
Softhouse has over 300 employees spread across 10 offices in Sweden and Bosnia and a solid customer list where the majority of the customers have been Softhouse customers since the start in 1996. It was also in Malmö that the company was founded. The goal and ambition is to further strengthen its position within digitalization and software development in southern Sweden.
– Leading Softhouse in Malmö will be great fun. I really appreciate our down-to-earth culture with genuine commitment to software development and genuine interest in our partners’ digitalization ambitions. This is evident not least in the incredibly fine top five ranking we received in Radar’s customer satisfaction survey among consultant buyers. It will be so much fun to build on both our deep AI expertise and to be a competent overall partner to medium-sized companies in the region, says Stina Åkesson.
Softhouse Sydost’s former CEO Ola Persson will remain with the company during a transition period to support the new management.
– We would like to extend a big thank you to Ola for his significant contributions together with his colleagues in Malmö and wish him good luck in his future challenges, says Sara Mårtensson.
Stina will continue as CEO of the company OurLiving in parallel.
