Jonathan Ekelund

Jonathan Ekelund is a web developer and systems architect at Softhouse with a particular interest in AI-assisted software development, system architecture, and code quality. He explores how AI can make software development more efficient without compromising architectural clarity, testability, or developers’ understanding of the systems they build.

Jonathan has a background in both software development and education, having previously worked with training teachers in Sweden on digital tools and technology. Since 2023, he has actively explored AI and AI-assisted coding, focusing on how these technologies can be used to build robust and maintainable software.

In his work, Jonathan advocates for clear system boundaries, well-defined specifications, and rigorous testing practices. He believes that software functionality should be verified through testing and that developers must always understand and be able to explain the architecture behind their solutions, regardless of how extensively AI is used.

Jonathan is driven by technical curiosity and a passion for problem-solving. Outside of work, he continues to explore the possibilities of technology, including developing his own games and modifying classic Nintendo 64 games.
