When Technology and Healthcare Meet to Save Lives
When Apex Aid Service moved from idea to innovation, it was about more than just digitizing a workflow – it was about creating a tool that can literally save lives.
To succeed, they needed a partner who not only mastered tech, but also understood the seriousness, the regulations, and the people behind it all.
That marked the start of a close collaboration with Softhouse – now helping shape the future of digital healthcare at major events across Sweden.
“We knew exactly what we needed – but not how to build it. Softhouse helped us turn real medical experience into a system that works under pressure. This saves lives.”

At large events like concerts, festivals, and horse races, medical staff must act fast – often without knowing what they’re heading into.
Communication happens over the radio in noisy surroundings, documentation is still on paper, and follow-ups are nearly non-existent. It’s unsafe, inefficient – and sometimes life-threatening.
Apex identified a critical need: a digital event-care system that brings together alerts, prioritisation, positioning, communication, and note-taking – all in real time.
A Digital Event Care System Where Every Second Counts
Together with Softhouse, Apex Aid Service developed a digital platform that handles the entire chain – from the first call to the final note.
The system enables personnel to receive the right information instantly, know where to go, what equipment is needed, and how serious the situation is.
Key features of the event-care system:
Priority 1–3 alerts
Automated resource suggestions based on proximity
Real-time status tracking: “on site”, “cleared” – with timestamps
Secure, access-controlled note-taking
Statistics module (number of cases, injury types, response times)
Module for missing persons and evacuation alerts
Role-based views (medical staff, security, coordinators)
“It looks simple on the user’s phone, but there’s a lot going on in the background. Softhouse built something that really holds up in real-world conditions.”

Fewer Minutes to Action, More Lives Saved
During events like the Elitloppet, over 50 medical cases were handled through the system.
Only three required regional ambulances – the rest were resolved on-site, thanks to the medical team and the speed and clarity of the Apex system.
“We save minutes every time – that could mean the difference between life and death. We know where to go, we know what to expect. It changes everything.”
– Jojje, Apex Aid Service
Measured Results:
Up to ~70% faster response times
Reduced paperwork and manual reporting
Better oversight and coordination between personnel
Increased safety for both the public and staff
The Partnership Between Apex Aid Service and Softhouse – Tech with Heart and Responsibility
For Apex, the choice of partner was critical. They needed someone who understood they weren’t just building an app – they were building life-critical infrastructure.
“I had a long conversation with Peter Theodoris from Softhouse. We didn’t just talk about features – we talked about responsibility, people, and lives. When he said ‘let’s go’, I knew this was real.”
– Jojje, Apex Aid Service
Softhouse’s experience in building secure systems – including for Skånetrafiken – became a key reassurance throughout the project.
The team worked closely with Apex, from requirements gathering and UX to development, testing, and deployment – always with a strong focus on stability, security, and usability.
“Softhouse has been solution-oriented, honest, and proactive. They built with heart – not just with brains.”

From Events to National Readiness
This is just the beginning.
Apex Aid Service and Softhouse are now continuing to evolve the platform, aiming to create a national hub for safety and preparedness at major events.
The vision is for the system to become as standard as fire extinguishers or defibrillators – a digital backbone for real-time safety, healthcare, and coordination.
“It’s about more than tech. It’s about building trust, safety, and lifesaving – in real time.”
– Jojje, Apex Aid Service
