Softhouse and Milou have entered into an agreement with Blekingetrafiken and are the first in the region to offer public transportation to facilitate smarter and more sustainable commuting for their employees. The benefit allows employees to travel to and from the office cheaply and easily and use the monthly ticket during their free time. The collaboration with Blekingetrafiken is also a concrete measure for Softhouse and Milou, along with their employees, to reduce their carbon footprint.
After the pandemic, with remote work and commuting by car, it is a priority to encourage physical activity and to meet more in person at the offices again. Softhouse and Milou wanted to see if benefit tickets can help employees contribute more to the sustainable transition.
We want to contribute to easy and more sustainable commuting to and from our offices, says Jörgen Persson, CEO of Softhouse in Blekinge. “At Softhouse, we have been working on developing ticket solutions for public transportation for almost 15 years, including Skånetrafiken and Blekingetrafiken. Therefore, it feels nice to offer public transportation as a benefit to our employees as a benefit.
It is important to be at the forefront when it comes to the benefits we can offer and contribute to kinder journeys to and from work – and we are more than happy to do that, says Annica Lagergren, CEO of the full-service agency Milou, which is part of the Softhouse group.
We are glad that Softhouse is offering this benefit as the first company in Blekinge. The corporate portal is a fast and easy way to manage tickets for employees with minimal administration while you have complete control over both purchase history and invoicing. Suppose you want to offer free business trips, monthly installments, or have the ticket deducted as a salary benefit. In that case, you can decide on your setup – just like Softhouse, says Fredric Torstensson, corporate sales representative at Blekingetrafiken.
Softhouse has previously offered this benefit but in the Skåne Region. Martin Wierzbicki, a developer at Softhouse’s office in Malmö, shares his experience.
I like to commute by public transportation because I avoid rush hour traffic in the morning, I don’t have to search for a parking lot, and when I arrive at the office, I have no stress. It’s great that Softhouse offers this service and that we can be at the forefront, says Martin Wierzbicki, a developer at Softhouse.
